Throwing on Potter’s Wheel

At this 2,5 hour intensive Throwing on Potter’s Wheel class, you will be guided through the fundamentals of making making pottery on a potter’s wheel.

Suitable for all levels, no prior knowledge of pottery is required to attend this class. The session is ideal as a taster for beginners, and as an opportunity to focus on throwing technique for those who would like to improve their skills. You will practice with the support of an experienced tutor.

The class size is 6 people.

All clay and a firing are included in workshop price.

The workshop running times are 2:30 – 5pm on Saturdays. Check our dates for March/April 2024!

All clay and a firing are included in the workshop price.

The fired pots will be ready for collection in 2 weeks. Please note the pots will be unglazed.

Clothing: specialist throwing aprons are provided for the workshop.

Please be aware that the ceramics workshop environment is not appropriate for babies, children and pets, and we cannot accommodate their presence in the studio.

The workshops we run are for adults, young people under 18-years old attendees should be accompanied by an adult.

Be aware: long nails can be uncomfortable for throwing on a potter’s wheel.

Please make sure you arrive at the workshop on time for the start of the session, latecomers will be refused admission.
