  • People’s Pottery Class – Student Projects

Here are some results from People’s Pottery Class, our regular evening and weekend pottery workshops. Most of the pieces here were made in the winter term this year. There is a bunch of plates made with hump moulds and few pieces thrown on potter’s wheel, examples of slip decoration and marbling.

We like to work with glaze, and encourage participants to experiment with form and decoration. One can see that with time  projects become more experimental and confident. Some works in the gallery were made by students who have been attending a class regularly for several years, others were made by students taking up pottery first time by joining our 12- week course. This small selection of pieces is here to give you an idea of what can be made in our studio during our regular classes.

We are excited to see what will summer term students come up with, follow us for the updates!

More information about our regular classes are on People’s Pottery Class page.

  • People’s Pottery Drop-in classes

People's Pottery class - Student work

This autumn we discovered ourselves under quite a lot of pressure to make sure drop-in classes stay available. Thanks to you, our committed new makers and clay lovers we are planning 4 special drop-in sessions this season. You can book them via this page.

We know it is sometimes hard to commit to longer course, but you’d really like to try it. Or there could be an older piece of yours you wanted to glaze. We would not want to see all the exciting projects left unrealised unfinished and stuck on shelves, due to difficult work schedules, and busy lives.

So plan it in for your Thursday evenings: book your places here.
