Try throwing on a potters wheel! At this 2,5 hour intensive  throwing session you will be guided through the fundamentals centering, lifting, trimming and slip decoration. 

Suitable for all levels, no prior knowledge of pottery is required to attend this class. The class is ideal for beginners or for those who would like to improve their throwing skills.

Our throwing workshops are small, so we are able to give you dedicated support and full access to the equipment while you learn.

The class is run in a group of 5 people maximum.

All clay and a firing are included in workshop price.

All clay and a firing are included in workshop price.

The fired pots will be ready for collection in 3-4 weeks. Please note the pots will be unglazed. If you would like to glaze your pots you can attend one of our regular glazing workshops.

Clothing: specialist throwing aprons are provided for the workshop.

Please be aware that ceramics workshop environment can be dangerous for babies, children and pets, and we cannot accommodate their presence in the workshop.

The workshops we run are for adults, young people under 18-years old attendees need to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Be aware: long nails can be uncomfortable for throwing on potter’s wheel.

Latecomers will be refused admission, please make sure you arrive to the workshop in time for the start of the session.
