Ceramics and Pottery Classes

Educational programme of ceramics and pottery classes at Ceramics Studio Co-op is aimed at making ceramics available to as many people as possible, and we believe it is a good place to start making world a better place.

Our classes are run by artists professionally dedicated to ceramics and have a lot of experience to share with students. Philosophy of accessibility, care and friendly learning environment is something that inspires us in bringing these classes to life.

People’s Pottery Evening and Weekend Classes

Tuesday 6:30-9pm| Thursday 10:00am-1pm |  Saturday, 10:30am-1pm

People’s Pottery class is all about feeling well and making ceramics in sociable and creative environment. These sessions are designed to be comfortable for all, and participants are encouraged to work at their own pace. The class is a perfect chance to try and improve all the basic techniques of pottery making. Perfect place for creative exchange in making everyday functional objects or sophisticated masterpieces. Throwing on Potter’s Wheel

Saturday 2pm-4:30pm

Try throwing on a potters wheel! At this 2,5 hour intensive  throwing session you will be guided through the fundamentals of wedging/ kneading, centering, lifting, trimming and slip decoration. 

Suitable for all levels, no prior knowledge of pottery is required to attend this class. The class is ideal for beginners or for those who  would like to improve their skills.

Our throwing workshops are small, so we are able to give you dedicated support and full access to the equipment while you learn.

The class is run in a group of 4 people maximum.

All clay, glazes and firing included.

Cost: £55 per person.

Ceramics glazing workshop

A 2,5 hour glazing session for unglazed work previously made at our classes: People’s Pottery, Throwing on Potter’s Wheel Class or Drop-in sessions.
